Who Killed Vincent Chin?
Thematic Tolerance Curated by Laurence Kardish
When Vincent Chin was beaten to death in a working-class Detroit bar, the Asian-American community was outraged. When the two unemployed autoworkers who murdered Chin because they thought he was Japanese (and therefore responsible for their unemployment), went free, that outrage turned into action as the community fought against the system to bring justice. The film exposes stereotypes and prejudices on all sides in a compelling and emotional coverage of that struggle.
