Where The Girls Are

NEW DOCS

The Dinah Shore gold tournament started in the early 1970s as a prestigious stop on the LPGA tour, but over the years it has turned into something of a spring break for lesbians, who pour into Palm Springs by the thousands to watch and play golf, meet-and-greet, and frolic, not necessarily in that order. Making terrific use of archival footage and splashy graphics, this fleet, jaunty film packs a lot into a half hour, from the tournament’s history and its current party atmosphere to the conflicts with the conservative country-club guard to a profile of Dinah herself.  TL
