Over the course of a summer, two Polish art school classmates revel in and reel from the boundless possibilities of youth. When Kris breaks up with his longtime girlfriend, the world suddenly seems new; with encouragement from Michal, his roommate, he is determined to embrace all that the coming months have to offer. The handsome friends wander the streets of Warsaw and dance until dawn to the throbbing pulse of DJ music, indulge in drinks and party drugs, and take in a cascade of chance encounters and new connections. Their senses are awakened as the city falls asleep. Consumed by the present and unsure of what the future may bring, Kris and Michal’s carefree patterns continue until a charismatic woman enters the scene, and the rush of desire threatens to impact their relationship. With breathtaking cinematography, filmmaker Michal Marczak (At the Edge of Russia) plunges into this weightless existence, illuminating both the unease and ecstasy of time spent on the cusp of adulthood.  ST
