    Full Frame Films Coming Soon

    A dynamic handful of films from the 2024 Full Frame Documentary festival are coming to wider audiences as soon as this month.

    Sneak Peek: HOLLYWOODGATE

    Egyptian-born director Ibrahim Nash’at spent a year documenting the Taliban’s consolidation of power after the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021. The resulting documentary, HOLLYWOODGATE, won the Grand Jury Award at Full Frame 2024.

    Sneak Peek: SUGARCANE

    Directors Julian Brave NoiseCat and Emily Kassie won the Center for Documentary Studies Filmmaker Award at Full Frame 2024. In SUGARCANE, an investigation into abuse and missing children at an Indian residential school ignites a reckoning on the nearby Sugarcane Reserve.

    Dawn Porter’s deep dive into one of the world’s most recognizable voices—that of R&B luminary Luther Vandross—has been acquired by CNN Films in partnership with the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). LUTHER: NEVER TOO MUCH was the Closing Night Film of Full Frame 2024.

    Patricia Field browses a rack of clothing HAPPY CLOTHES: A FILM ABOUT PATRICIA FIELD (Full Frame 2024), directed by Michael Selditch and exploring the life and career of the Academy Award-nominated costume designer best known for her work on Sex and the City, was recently acquired by Greenwich Entertainment.

    ENO: A Film That’s Never the Same Twice
